Tumbler Extravaganza is an event where cup/tumblers come together for a weekend to learn new techniques. Classes are taught by experienced tumbler makers/presenters. Each participant will have the opportunity to create 5 tumblers and gaining valuable knowledge. Participants will also receive a "Mad Bag" filled with ALL the supplies needed to make these tumblers. Mad Bags for participants possibly include craft bag, tumblers, 2-cup turner (optional), epoxy, glitter, alcohol inks, acrylic paints, adhesive, rhinestones, UV resin, UV light/flashlight, baby wipes, gloves, crafting tools and much more. Non-participants will not receive a "Mad Bag".

Presenters to teach at the event are:  Joe Lehr, Heather Meyers, Danielle Myers, Jennifer Orgeron, Megan Carr and Teresa Barber. The same tumblers you see in all the groups will NOT be taught. This is a learning experience, and the Extravaganza takes pride in teaching new designs/techniques. After the selection of tumbler choices, Mad Glitter will post pictures of the tumblers in the fb group Tumblers with Mad Glitter and on this Extravaganza page.

The Mad Glitter Tumbler Extravaganza will take place in sunny, warm Florida. Discounted room rates at the Florida Hotel & Conference Center, 1500 Sand Lake Rd., Orlando, FL 32809.

                   $548 per participant with turner

The Florida Hotel and Conference Center is located beside the Florida Mall and 5.8 miles from the Orlando International Airport. (Address is at the top of this page). Amenities include outdoor pool, 24-hour fitness center, internet, on-site dining, secured parking, daily newspaper on lobby level, two (2) bottles of water upon arrival replenished daily, and use of the self-serve business center. Reserve your room at:

Room rates are $118 per night plus $15 hotel service fee (parking, wi-fi, business center access). You may add additional nights (up to 3 before and 3 after) the Extravaganza event at this same rate. Because the hotel puts a limit on the additional days, you may have to contact Mad Glitter so that we may contact the hotel to add days. Most likely, a message will pop up saying there aren't any rooms available, but that isn't true. We just have to play with the online reservation calendar a little.  It's a great time to schedule your family vacation. All rooms are a Standard Deluxe with two (2) queen beds. Rooms include microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker.

IMPORTANT INFO:  You can make changes to your hotel reservation, including cancelling up to 72 hours prior to arrival. It would be best to arrive on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. The hotel is pet friendly and charges a small fee per night.

You WILL be charged for one (1) room night seven (7) days prior to arrival of the event. The hotel is allowing for early check ins at a rate of $50 as early as 12 noon if available. Otherwise, check in is at 4pm. There will also be a late check out fee of $50 if you don't check out by 11am.

Class Info

Class Early Bird Registration/Check In - 7 - 9pm Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Location TBA. All Mad Bags and envelopes will be checked by the recipient before leaving the registration area and signing the paperwork that you received and that it is accurate. Attendees will be able to purchase duplicate supplies at the MG (Mad Glitter) vendor booth.

Classes begin at 9am each day of the event, beginning Thursday, October 3, 2024. Classes will end by 4-4:30pm each day but could run a little longer depending upon the schedule. The classroom will be open until 5pm each day if you would like to continue working on your tumblers.

Classes will be taught by experienced tumbler makers/presenters. You may even know some of them from the fb group members and tutorials. 

Everyone will be in one (1) class all together learning the same tumbler techniques.

 Class itinerary will be announced and posted when available. Classes may change without notice due to current techniques. You do NOT need to bring any supplies. Everything is provided in a "Mad Bag" with your registration for participants. You will receive your Mad Bag at early registration on Thursday or before class on Friday. 

Virtual Tickets

Virtual tickets are $490 without a turner or $598 with a 2-cup turner. All supplies are  included. 

 

Want to come by and shop in the Vendor Room

You can. Anyone can come in and shop at the Vendor booths at no charge. They will not be able to access the classrooms. There will be signs posted directing to the Vendor Room. Oh, did I mention, there will not be an entry fee charged to come in and shop? Thats right, no fee to come by and shop and meet all the Vendors.

Vendor Information

Would you like to be a Vendor? The cost is $250 for the entire weekend for a space and 1 (one) table. and chair. You are welcome to bring additional supplies needed such as shelving, table, chair and signs. Click on the Vendor Packet link, complete the form and submit. Individuals attending the Mad Glitter Tumbler Extravaganza are required to read the following information carefully and fully understand before participating in any activity or program. You agree that you are voluntarily participating with the knowledge of the risks in doing so. Please be fully aware that participation in the Mad Glitter Tumbler Extravaganza may result in risk of personal injury or harm.

 

You hereby agree to release and hold harmless the company of Mad Glitter, their respective agencies, owners, officers, employees, committees, and volunteers, from and against all liability, loss, damages, claims or actions (including legal costs and attorney fees) for any bodily injury and/or property damage, to the extent permissible by law arising from or related to my participation.

 

This indemnification and hold harmless agreement shall include indemnity against all costs) including without limitation, reasonable attorney’s fees, and court costs), expenses and liabilities incurred or in connection with any such claim or proceeding brought thereon and in defense thereof.

 

Reminder, epoxy will be in use within a closed setting. As a participant, you understand that products used can cause fumes/odors and allergic reactions. Each participant agrees and accepts full responsibility for their own safety and take necessary precautions to avoid any complications while attending the Extravaganza. Please plan to bring PPE if needed. 

 

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A LIABILITY RELEASE WHEN YOU SIGN IN AT THE EXTRAVAGANZA.

 

In signing this release, indemnification and hold harmless form, you acknowledge that you have read and understand fully the foregoing agreement and sign it voluntarily as my own free act and deed, no oral representations, statements, or inducements, apart from the foregoing written agreement have been made. I hereby give permission to Mad Glitter and Mad Glitter Tumbler Extravaganza representatives for emergency transportation and/or treatment in the event of illness or injury. You hereby accept responsibility for the payment of any emergency transportation and/or treatment. You further certify that you are fully competent and in good physical condition and have no medical or physical conditions that would restrict your participation in any program or activity.
